The Gift Was Real. So Was The Deception.

The Gift Was Real. So was The Deception.

There is a difference between being able to see and being able to see clearly.

I didn’t know that at first.

These past few weeks, Yahweh has allowed me to witness so much spiritually. Most of the time, I didn’t recognize what He was doing until I looked back and saw how carefully He had been teaching me.

He wasn’t simply showing me things.

He was teaching me how to become trustworthy with what I see.

He was revealing my identity—not through empty compliments meant to make me feel important, but through correction, patience, order, and truth.

And that identity brought clarity to something I had wrestled with for years.

Before I understood how my gift worked, I would sense deception and immediately assume someone was lying to me. I thought my sensitivity was always pointing to a dishonest person.

Now I understand that sometimes I was sensing the presence of deception itself.

But because I had not yet matured in the gift, I could sense that something was wrong without correctly understanding what I was sensing.

I had perception without interpretation.

Sensitivity without stability.

Knowledge without the capacity to steward it.

I could see—but deception distorted what I believed I was seeing.

That distortion became especially dangerous because I had no established identity to anchor me. Without knowing who I was, I had no dependable way to discern what was coming from Yahweh, what was coming from fear, and what was simply coming from me.

Then truth arrived with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit did not merely help me see more. He began teaching me how to understand what I see.

He helps me connect patterns.

He reveals timing.

He shows me what requires prayer, what requires action, and what requires stillness.

He reminds me that revelation is not given merely to satisfy curiosity. If Yahweh reveals something, there is purpose attached to it.

That is the difference between information and divine instruction.

I once had access to knowledge without the Spirit of Truth governing it. I now understand why knowledge outside of Yahweh’s order can become dangerous. The danger is not always that the information is completely false. Sometimes the danger is that something contains enough truth to make us trust a source that was never authorized to lead us.

Real does not automatically mean righteous.

Accurate does not automatically mean appointed.

Spiritual does not automatically mean holy.

People often ask, “If psychics and tarot readers aren’t real, how do they know certain things?”

But I believe that question begins in the wrong place.

The question is not only, “Did they reveal something?”

The deeper questions are:

Where did the information come from?

Under whose authority is it operating?

What fruit does it produce?

And where is it ultimately leading you?

The enemy does not create. He imitates, distorts, and attempts to redirect what belongs to Yahweh. Scripture warns us that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. Deception would not be deception if it always arrived looking obviously dark.

Sometimes it looks like enlightenment.

Sometimes it feels like power.

Sometimes it sounds like truth.

That is why spiritual ability must remain submitted to the Spirit of Truth.

Yahweh’s boundaries were never designed to keep us powerless. They protect us from carrying power we do not yet have the character, identity, or wisdom to steward.

Without His direction, spiritual knowledge is like jumping into a car and driving wherever the signs appear to point. You may be moving. You may even recognize landmarks along the way. But movement is not the same as direction, and signs are not a substitute for knowing the destination.

Yahweh does not just want me informed.

He wants me led.

He does not just want me powerful.

He wants me trustworthy.

And He did not reveal my identity to inflate me. He revealed it to anchor me.

So no, this is not a story about being afraid of my own power. I have seen too much for that explanation to satisfy me.

This is the story of finally recognizing its Source.

The gift was real.

The deception was real too.

But now, the Spirit of Truth is teaching me the difference.

I no longer want knowledge simply because it makes me feel powerful. I want truth that makes me trustworthy.

I don’t just want to see.

I want to see with Yahweh.
